Our shortlist will be announced on the 15th of April at 2pm UK time. Please do keep following us on X and Instagram to share the long lister’s journey for the rest of the competition. We will also be holding Instagram lives and our #cheshirenovelprizekidssnippets will be back with the #cheshirenovelprizekidsfirstlines at the start of April just before the shortlist is announced.
Our agent showcase for our top 100 writers will start on the 30th of August. If you made our top 100 we will inform you of this when you receive you feedback and so there is no need to contact us. At this time, we will give you further information, but you can find the details under ‘Writing Tips” on our website.
It is hard not to feel disappointed if you were not listed. However, this was a really close-run competition. And of course, everyone will get feedback. Feedback will go out from the end of March until the end of June 2024, but we will be as quick as we can. Please ensure you have entry@cheshirenovelprizekids added to your address book and if you haven’t received your feedback by 30th June, please check your junk/spam, folder and if it not there, do email us and let us know. Please note due to the large number of entries, we cannot answer individual emails about when the feedback will be sent until after the end date of 30th June 2024.
Thank you for trusting us with your work.
Kindest regards
The Cheshire Novel Prize Kids Team
